Happy Birthday June babies!
I've finally been home for the month! It's been an adventurous past 6 months : 78/182 days : 22 flights so far. I'm happy to have finally settled myself in ... just a little bit, with reconnecting to YYC, friends, family and to have gathered some of my favourites in celebrating a Trio of birthdays before I leave in exactly 13 days to my first Asia trip of 2016! :)
This year I changed up my setting for my birthday shoot and decided to gather inspiration from Calgary for once. I was really inspired to bring together the focus of highlighting the beauty of my city and to share with you all my renewed passion of Dance. My friend Neil, (whom I've known since elementary) came to my mind when I thought about photography, in beautiful cities & landscapes, so I decided to bring this idea to him... and this is a tiny bit of what we created last week. (yes there will be a second post to this! :)
I know last year I did a fun little year 23, grateful post and previously to that I shared a bit more about my birthday-spirations in a red dress (both shot in beautiful Vancouver). This year my shoot besides highlighting the city I'm in and my passion, it actually also holds quite a significance to me - personally. This set captures a phase in my life where I'm in for some big life transitions (in my thoughts, directions, passions, goals) and also a time where I've allowed some great lessons in being a woman settle into my system from the past 6 months. A quote + a sprinkle of my thought in what I want to leave with you all is:
"What's meant for you ... will never miss you.
The important stuff, will always stay, will always find a way, and it'll always be yours."
Now with that, thank you everyone so much, for having followed me on my many adventures so far, be it in real life or via lov3stia on social media/this blog ... it's been quite something for the past 3 years. The messages I receive from you(s), about what I've inspired in your daily life truly aligns with my inner purpose and continually inspires me to living my life as full as possible, through whatever comes my way. My wish for you as my birthday gift to you is asking that you all find peace in knowing the things that are meant to happen, stay, be will always come at the right time, right place on your journey. It might not make sense, but have some faith, see it through. <3
Stay adventurous, smile, have a glass of wine along with the cake but also remember to do your squats and dance your heart out!
