A few days before I arrived in Toronto, my IG foodie friend @MisterMagician (aka: Samson from EATWITH) & I connected and decided to do a little food hop around downtown, and being Little Fin was on my list of places to hit up during my visit, this was my first stop with him!
Now despite the chilly weather in Toronto at that time, when I walked in Little Fin held a very welcoming, cozy and calming vibe. With a casing of fresh lobsters and bed of ice with other seafood on top. The design of the place was small (check out their washrooms! Talk about space efficiency!) and cozy, they have tables against the windows and about 2-3 more spots in the centre. It's a good little stop by when you're hungry or craving for a quick seafood bite.
The Food: I was really excited to try out their lobster poutine and was recommended to try their Fried Haddock sandwich. And overall, I was unfortunately a bit disappointed, I loved the sauce and the fish was fresher than what I can get in Calgary when it comes to fried fish... but besides that everything else about the fish burger was about average on taste to us and it didn't really give us anything to be excited about besides great visuals. The poutine had a good portion of lobster which I appreciated, however I'm not super stoked on the wedge fries and neither was Samson, since the taste of potato really took over instead of the taste of lobster, which was what I was looking anticipating from a seafood joint.
My first experience with them on taste wasn't the greatest, however I think if I was in the area again I would like to give their Lobster BLT a go, along with one of their shrimp items.
